My passion
Sports and fitness has played a major role in developing me into the person I am today but it’s the relationship that I’ve created along the way, that I cherish the most and make it worth wild. My goal with Fitness and Heart is to create opportunity to connect my passions, working with people and fitness.
My purpose
I want to help create awareness for heart and vascular related conditions and illness, using nutrition and fitness as a guide.
On December 2nd, 2019, I was rushed to the hospital and underwent emergency heart surgery. I was informed after waking from surgery that I had suffered a Aortic Dissection, a tear in the inner layer of the large blood vessel branching off the heart. This was the most traumatic and life changing moment of my life.
As a fitness enthusiast and professional, I worried if I would be able to continue pursuing fitness in any capacity but through my recovery I began to realize that I could use my experience and knowledge to be a resource and help others with special heart consideration achieve their fitness and nutrition goals, safely.
