My story

Always an athlete, sports and fitness has played a major role in shaping me into the person I am today.

Born and raised in the small town of Brownsville, Pennsylvania I grew up playing the game of basketball. I had a basketball court right across the street from my house, where all the neighborhood kids would play and hangout. I didn’t immediately take to the sport but I quickly grew to love it.

When I began playing competitively in my local community biddy league, I instantly became a stand out, literally! I was a whole head taller then all the girls, and the boys which gave me an advantage to excel.

From the age 11 - 17, if I wasn’t playing basketball in my community, I would be participating in the AAU (Amateur Athletic Union). AAU was incredible, providing me with the opportunity to travel the country, playing with my best friends, against the best players, and getting exposure to Division 1 Universities.

That was my goal, to be recruited and earn a scholarship to have an opportunity to go to college. Through the hard work and dedication I put into the sport of basketball as a young girl, I was able to earn a full athletic scholarship to James Madison University. I had an amazing four year career playing with the Women’s Basketball program and acquired a bachelors degree in Sociology and Kinesiology with a minor in Human Resources.

After College, I dabbled with a few professions but I would continue to find my way back to sports and fitness. I had the opportunity to Coach at Youngstown University as an Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach, where I got to train Division 1 athletes. I played in social leagues and I was always on my personal quest to discover my own wellness balance.

It took some time but I finally realized that fitness was what I was most passionate about. I made a commitment to myself and worked towards the education I needed to pursue my fitness career further.

I obtained my Personal Training Certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Then, I continued developing my knowledge with a Nutrition Coach Certification. Now, I couldn’t be more passionate and confident to work with clients and share the knowledge and experience I have earned as a fitness professional.
